Sunday School Classes

We are so very thankful for all of our faithful and dedicated teachers, who pour themselves into lovingly instructing our children in the Word of God.

Beginner through Primary Sunday School Classes

Currently, we are utilizing the Abeka:  Joyful Life Sunday School Curriculum
“In addition to the Bible story, each lesson includes Bible truths which teach and review basic doctrine through questions that children can understand and remember. As they answer simple questions such as Who is Jesus? Who wrote the Bible? and Is all of the Bible true? children learn the fundamentals of the Christian faith and grow in their knowledge of God and His Word.”

“A life that is focused on God is one that is full of joy — and that is the focus of the Joyful Life Sunday school curriculum. Our goal is not to entertain but to teach the Bible in a way that children will learn and remember for life. We believe that the Bible itself is “entertaining” and, what is more important, that it is relevant to our lives today. Centered on the Word of God, this program not only interests children through colorful visuals and exciting Bible narratives, but it also educates them in the ways of the Lord and molds their lives for Christ.”

This year, the Beginners’ Sunday School lessons will focus
on “Following after God” and “Footprints through the Bible”.

“Following after God” Lessons:
Creation; Adam & Eve; the Easter story; Heaven; Naaman;
Jonah; the lost lamb; the rich young ruler

“Footprints through the Bible” Lessons:
Daniel; Esther; David; Zacchaeus; the woman at the well; feeding the 5,000,
Peter walks on water, and other miracles of Jesus.

The Primaries’ Sunday School lessons will focus
on “God’s Wonderful Word” and “Bible Adventures”.

“God’s Wonderful Word” Lessons:
Heaven, sin, Christ's death and resurrection, growing spiritually; Jonah runs from God, then obeys; Moses as a baby, then before Pharaoh

“Bible Adventures” Lessons:
Moses at Sinai, twelve spies, serpent of brass, Moses sees the Promised Land; Jesus and the woman at the well; miracles of Jesus

“Our Prayer is to present Christ to children for their salvation and to train them in the Christian way of life. Each lesson challenges children to live for God.”

Juniors & Teens Sunday School Class

Rather than using preprinted Sunday School materials, this class has been custom-designed to reach the needs of our church teens and preteens.  By learning how to put on the “whole armor of God”, our young people will be more prepared to deal with the Spiritual Warfare surrounding us. The educational vision is to make this class engaging with interactive dialogue while building on the previous Biblical history that was taught in their earlier years by putting “shoe leather” to God’s Word.
